Our History:

In Zvolen, the baseball history officially started to be written in 1999 when the Baseball club was established. However, the origins of baseball tradition reach even further - to the time from about 10 years ago when a couple of University students started to coach a junior softball team. Although these teenagers never took part in a "real" softball match (and their team subsequently fell apart), the early beginnings proved to be very effective, because it was these young men who re-established baseball in our town 10 years ago. At the beginning, baseball was played rather as a leisure activity. Later, when the number of baseball fans multiplied so that it was possible to build up a team, it was decided to give it an official status of a sport club. The following year the team was registered in the 2nd Slovak Baseball League. In autumn 2000 another softball team of girl cadets was added to the existing male team. From the start its membership was not very large but new members were recruited it in January 2001. In the same years girls competed for the first time in the Slovak Softball championship too.
